LENOVO's U1 HYBRID

"LENOVO's U1 HYBRID: is it an Ipad killer!?"
what is LENOVO's U1 hybrid : it is a notebook with a removable tablet.

This is absolutely COOL!!
it is a notebook at the same time a tablet..
For notebook users lets admit it! it is better than iPad.Why? Read the specs below. If i could, I would carry this one with me.

Let us know its specifications:

General

its type is Hybrid (can be a tablet and a notebook), Bundled Os is Windows 7. pretty cool!!.
i cant wait to have this coz i can use all the features of windows7 touch screen. The detachable resistive multi-touch display amazed me! when detached the tablet uses a linux Os and that was very impressive, I can use 2 Os in 1, I can have 2 gadgets in 1 which is laptop and tablet and more features when you get this gadget and more importantly portability is there!.

Display

11.6 inches in screen size, its type is LCD (Active, Color, Backlit, LED), and Yes! it is touch screen. Almost like an iPad or i should say Almost better that iPad hehe.

Processor

its processor is made by Intel , family is Core2 duo and CPU model is U4100.
1GHz Snapdragon processor for tablet . T
he gadget consists of different features like other laptops has. so laptops without a tablet is no good for me hehe because now the portability is the key.

Networking

Supported by WIFI 802.11 b, g, n and wifi encryption is
WEP, WPA, WPA2. Supported by Ethernet
10/100/1000 [Gigabit] and yes it has a 3g for Mobile broadband. Wow amazing I can have it in hand while walking surfing what's on my mind.

Memory and storage

Hard drive(s) of the tablet is 16 GB (total) SSD / integrated pretty big for tablet users. The Dock has 4GB DDR3 RAM (max),128GB SSD. It has a big storage of videos, pictures and songs.

Input

Like other laptops the dock has a keyboard and for pointing device is the track pad. And here "The Tablet" has its own keyboard there is a preferred button so the on-screen keyboard will display on it and of course the tablet is a multi touch! no haggard for slow mouse pointers your fingers will be the mouse itself.

Connections

For Bluetooth and USB Lovers the device has it. The USB supports 2.0 (3 ports) and the Bluetooth has 2.1 + EDR. Wow, i can have my photos from my phone by sending it via Bluetooth unlike iPad no USB ports and maybe Bluetooth.

Price
Availability is not yet on the market, but the given retailed price is $999, Ouch! how can i get this it is very expensive. Yes, the disadvantage having this gadget is the price itself but for us gadget users we look for a better technology and money don't cost a thing for those who has a lot of golds to shed in this hybrid tech device. Maybe, i try to work harder to have this!.

Additional Specs
It is built in microphone and mono type speakers with 3.5mm audio outputs. A memory card Reader that supports SD, MMC, Memory Stick PRO and Memory Stick. For Video outputs, it supports HDMI, VGA and has a SATA storage interface and it also has eSATA.

A little background experience
It's built around a six-panel interface. The GUI is slightly different than the Skylight huh?, which can be customized with email, RSS, calendar, and social media widgets, and especially there's a finger friendly four-panel screen with image, music, video, and e-reader widgets. The tablet also turns into a pretty good e-reader,when flipped to portrait to read a preloaded PDF and the accelerometer kicked right in. The slate itself is essentially a touchscreen version of the Skylight smartbook: it runs the same Skylight OS on a similar Qualcomm Snapdragon CPU, and it seems to be pretty quick, though there's a bit of lag in between switching windows. The on-screen keyboard is enough to enter some data.Unfortunately, the screen itself was pretty complete, with horizontal and vertical viewing angles, it basically disappeared at 45 degrees off axis. That's probably not optimal for a hand-held device, and we're hoping Lenovo sorts that out before release.

"the features is proving a nuisance to others!"

hmm have a nice day fellas thank you for reading :)
